Rules, Terms and Conditions

• The Tour is for RCC, GCC and CCHB members.
• The only exceptions are by prior agreement and any visitors accepted must ride in A grade.
• Riders may only compete in their current grade. No exceptions.
• Entry fee is $10 for RCC, GCC & CCHB members (regardless of how many stages you do) $20 for visitors

Overall placings will be decided by General Classification on time.

In the event of a tie, overall placings will be decided by the fastest times in the Individual Time Trial.

Prizegiving of medals will be held as soon as possible after last rider finishes Stage 3
                                        
At the conclusion of the Tour, Ramblers series points will be awarded in accordance with a riders overall placing.

Time Trial:
We aim to base start times on the results of Stage One, so individual start times will be posted here on Saturday evening & will also be available at Puketapu School on Sunday morning.
30 seconds between riders, 2 minutes between grades.
Grade start times are: A Grade 9:00am, B Grade 9:14, C Grade 9:22, D Grade 9:32, E Grade 9:41, F Grade 9:48
We have also had a few queries about what is & isnt allowed to be used in the ITT. To make it simple, we will not allow any equipment/clothing that you would normally use in a TT but not in a road race. This includes TT bikes, aerobars, aero helmets, skins suits & disc wheels. You should be completing Stages Two & Three in the same gear and on the same bike.

Swap meet:
A few members will be bringing bike bits & pieces to sell/exchange on Sunday after Stage Three. If you have any old bike bits & pieces that you want to sell/swap/exchange, then please bring them along on Sunday. It will operate like a car boot sale with individuals being responsible for what they buy/sell/swap.

Results:
The winners will be decided by General Classification on time
Prizegiving of medals will be as soon as possible after the last rider finishes.
In addition to the normal Tes/Coffee/biscuits we will be having a sausage sizzle before the prozegiving ($2 per sausage).

Important Note: The 1 second rule will apply for Stage One & Three: If one rider finishes less than one second behind another then he/she is credited with the same finishing time as the first. This operates transitively, so when the peloton finishes together every rider in it gets the time of the rider at the front of the peloton (provided that there are not gaps of more than 1 second between riders).

All riders must agree to:

• Abide by NZ road rules.
• Follow the instructions of race officials or marshals.
• Not interfere with or in any way influence the outcome of any race other than their own grade.
• Not take advantage of other road traffic or obstacles in an attempt to gain unfair advantage.
• The event director or club officials have at their discretion the right to disqualify or remove points from any rider deemed to have infringed any Terms, Conditions, or Rules as specified.
• In addition any rider who behaves in a reckless, abusive, dangerous or socially inappropriate way, may also be sanctioned. All riders compete at their own risk.
• Please report to the startline no later than 10mins before race start times for briefing.

The course routes are subject to change, in the event of roadworks or other activities that may affect safety.

Day One 2pm: Apply Road Circuit 52/26km

Day Two 9am: Belgian style ITT 6.5km
(no aerobars/ITT gear)

Day Two 10:30am: Swamp Road Circuit 43/25km
